Not true! He appears on two tracks on Kenny Garrett's 1989 album Prisoner of Love (not streaming, though it's on Atlantic), and did some stuff for Shirley Horn in the '80s, too.

I stand corrected! It's entirely possible i read that factoid as far back as the '70s and have been using it inaccurately since.
Why not include the amazing painting of Cecil that you commissioned inside of the book?
