Death Metal will always get maligned, which is shame but understandable. And there's always the caveat when it comes to introducing a death metal band to the listening party. I think CC fit in here just fine without the caveat, but I digress. Although I've never been an active fan of them, there's a reason they're one of the best-known bands of the genre. As far as 'the groove', well, that's kind of necessary factor in that old school caveman death metal, so they'd better still have it! I'll give this a listen upon our recommendation; I never liked Deicide during the 90s, but a re-listen a few years back changed that, so maybe this will bring me around. I listen to a lot of fuckin' death metal...
