AACM. Always have to look and quite enjoyed the list. Half a handful I didn't have so some quick shopping this evening. I had the good fortune to 'grow up' seeing different permutations in Chicago during the 60s. Often at a second floor bowling alley in the Boys Town neighborhood (no idea what its called these days). $2.50 to sit in the lanes while the musicians performed from the seats. Took 20 folks after our high school prom (then on to MJQ at Mr Kelly's, and Howlin' Wolf after that). Memories. Sorry, I digress. Wondered if you were familiar with Brigitte Fontaine's album Areski with backing by the AEC. Possibly my favorite among the more 'obscure' recordings.
