Actually, DoYeon Kim *isn’t* “the only person playing the kayageum in free improvisational contexts”, jolly good though she is (and I have bought her CD). Forty years back Sang-Won Park made a wonderful trio album, ‘Invite the Spirit’, with Henry Kaiser on guitar and the splendidly-named Charles K. Noyes on drums.
